Accessibility statement
Built to be used by everyone.
We want every hotel owner, and every guest they write to, to be able to use what we make. Here is where this website stands, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
What we aim for
This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We check every page with automated accessibility tests, in all six languages, on phones and on computers, and we check colour contrast against the AA standard.
What we have done
Every page is marked up for screen readers, with headings, page regions and a “Skip to content” link. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animated reception scene stays still and the film does not play by itself. The film on the homepage is silent, has a pause button, and comes with a text version of everything it shows. On the main pages every button opens an ordinary email, and every form on our campaign pages also gives a plain email address.
Where we fall short
The reception illustrations are decorative and are described in a few words rather than in full detail. Our checks are automated and done in-house; the site has not yet been audited by an outside specialist. If something doesn’t work for you, we would rather hear about it than guess.
Tell us
Write to hello@getdutydesk.com and tell us which page, and what got in your way. A person reads every message, and we will send you the information in another format if you need it.
